    Everything Marked Urgent

We went over to visit friends at their new place for their birthday BBQ. It was great to see them again, and their new place is exactly what they needed for their large family. The girls had a lot of fun playing with the other kids, we adults were able to sit and chat for a while, making up for lost time, and all was well. It was really nice to get out of the house for a while. Lucky for us, one of our friends was able to pick us up and drop us back off so that we could attend at all, as our car is still in the shop being repaired.

While we were there, Ladybug's father called to arrange pick up for her to go with them to church like we had planned. She's been going with he and his new wife for the last couple of months, as well as volunteering for the church, and it makes me happy to see that she has found a church that she feels comfortable with. Last week, after about 6 months of study and heart-searching, she decided that she wanted to become a member of her father's church, and that's fine with me. I might not enjoy their particular type of services at that church, but if she does, that is her choice, and I am glad for her. *smile* He picked her up there since it was closer to his house than our place is, and he'll be bringing her back home sometime later this afternoon.

We had intended on going to a concert at the end of the day, but it was too late to show up there by the time we arrived back a the house, so we just stayed home.

Once we arrived home, I had to deal with an emergency Freecycle(tm) matter, that ended up taking about an hour or so to complete to everyone's satisfaction, so by the time all was said and done, we were all pretty ready for bed.

Never did manage to get out to the store to get a new inner tube for Ladybug's bicycle, but mom was too tired and hurting to drive us, and she needed her rest anyway. Maybe we'll get that done on Monday. With the car not repaired yet, some type of transportation for our family that doesn't require the kindness and generosity of friends and family is a serious priority.

Hope you get a car/vehicle of your own soon. Glad to hear the Talitha is okay with her dad's church.
