Thank the Gods for family & friends!
My grandmother loaned me just enough money to pay off the electric bill.
My mother has offered to loan me a bit if I need any more.
A good friend gave us three skillets for admission to a "dead pan" comedy show (sure it's not money, but it will get us in *wink*).
We finished paying the deposit on the new place, and now all we are waiting for is the paperwork to go through the rest of the way so we can get more paperwork done, then move in.
In other news, planning has already commenced for the citywide end-of-the-year festivities, and I'm in the middle of a move so I can't call anyone to arrange things yet! *mild worry* I'm sure with what we've been through (and are not quite done with), silly things like the last minute arranging of performing at festive events will be comparatively smooth sailing.

Thank God indeed. I don't think we would have ever been able to move any of the bazillion times we did without a little help from our family/friends.
