Swimmer's Channel to Open in the Atlantic

The UK and the US, in a drastic attempt to encourage cross-cultural exchange and eco-tourism, have been working together for the last 5 years to create the new
trans-oceanic swim and floatway. Each direction has two separate lanes, one for floaters, and one for swimmers. The travelling lanes will have frequent unmanned docking stations for simply drying off, or for snack food, beverage, and international MRE purchasing with solar desalinated UV-filtered water for showers and drinking, all available for a small fee payable by credit or debit card. The lanes are delineated with floating buoys attached to neon orange seaman's rope and anchored to the ocean floor at various points to prevent excessive drift.

The grand opening for the aquatic highway is scheduled for late may, when the ocean becomes a bit calmer. Boats of all sizes are banned from the lanes.
