I use Blogger Beta, but I still haven't switched the template. I have too much I do with the HTML tweaking that I'm not sure I'd be able to do in the new format. Does anyone know if you can still edit the HTML in the new template format? I'd hate to loose all of my hard work.

Yes, you can still edit the HTML, but you'll have to re-do all that you currently have, for the new layout.
