My Little Typhoid Mary

Very Very Ill. No energy to blog, but didn't want you to worry.

Exceedingly long story short: We have Strep because Littlebit can't seem to resist floor candy and floor gum, no matter where we are, and if she's not actually putting her found goodies into her mouth, her fingers (germs and all) will find their way to her mouth in less than a minute. (of course then she touches things with her slimy germy hands *shudder*) We're carrying the Snake Oil Hand Sanitizer with us everywhere now (for the safety and protection of the general public more than for ourselves), which we apply liberally to Littlebit's hands every thirty minutes. (maybe we should coat the fingers with GSE, that'd keep them out of her mouth for sure! *laugh*)

She knows now that rules are not only to "keep you safe", but also that following them keeps everyone else in the family safer than they would be without your being good. She knows that her not minding the rules made us all sick, but we weren't mean about telling her that, we just used the fact as a reinforcement of what we say all the time; "Rules are made to keep you safe".

According to the DR (the ER is a story that will have to wait for another day), the meds will make us non-contagious by Wednesday (and make us feel a ton better by then too). We hope he's right and we can go to park day. Call me stingy, but I don't plan on sharing this with anyone. *sigh*
