    Lightning Strikes Again

Went to the bar, visited friends, had laughs, and shared stories. I missed my Dolphin. :D Finally got the pictures sent off to him, even though it took me three emails to do it with because the pictures were so huge. Worked a bit on finishing up the videos and such for the homeschoolers we met at the KOA, rearranged the bedroom, finished packaging the donations for the conference, premade 22 creamy chicken enchiladas, cleaned & rearranged the bedroom. (We want to put the bunny in there, as it is quieter and she is less likely to be disturbed when she has her babies if she is in a quieter area of the house.) The day has not yet ended for me, and likely it will not until well after 9am. *sigh* So much to do and so little time...

Finished pulling the lightning shots from the video we took during the storm. Sometimes Blogger makes my images darker than they are, so I hope these come out alright once they are published. *smile* All of these were taken at around midnight, just to let you get a feel of how bright some of this lightning was to completely illuminate the entire night sky like it was day. Afterimages of previous lightning strikes are cool. Notice the creepy "ghost" imaging at the bottom of the picture?Ground to air lightning is always interesting, and it lit uo the sky rather impressively as well. Judging from it's location, I would guess there were several folks without power for a bit...

    A nice inter-cloud strike.

I loved the way this shot not only lit up the sky, but also the orbs of lightning dissipating around the tree. Very neat imagery.

And of course, the best of the bunch, a magnificent lightning show. I told keebler that this one looks like one of those paintings from Greece where someone was trying to depict the wrath of the Gods on canvas. Just breathtaking.

Ah yes, those ARE cool pictures! I should try and take some of those the next time we have some lightening in the sky. Thanks for the inspiration :-)

The next time one of these 'events' are planned, maybe you could let us know in advance and we could at least come and meet you, even if we couldn't stay the night. That would be great!
    -hint-hint- :-)
