Today, we start to put the family back together.
We need to piece the kids' skulls back into place, reattach jaws, and sew their skins back on.
Our task is to put the children back together after all of the head explodey, jaw-droppey, skin-jumpeyty-outy gift glee.
We went to the store and exchanged some gifts, replacing them with things the kids really wanted, took Sheldon (the yellow car) to the mechanic to get looked at, Keeb and I exchanged our little gifts for each other, and my mother drove us all over to spent some real quality time visiting my grandmother. All told, despite the exhaustion, it was a really good day.
The days following gifting are always a bit delicate; the kids playing with their toys with reckless abandon, and we poor parents trying to catch up on sleep.

We did all our 'after Christmas' errands yesterday...now we are back into 'hibernation' mode until after the first of the year.
And trying to find some place to put all of the new toys!
May everyone and everything be put back together soon.
