Feeling tons better today, and the olde body is getting back to normal pretty quickly. SO glad that's over.
Spent all day working on the computer. CSS is a lot easier than I had previously thought.
Didn't hear anything from housing yet, and I've decided to leave the situation to the powers that be for the moment. I will be offering to barter/buy a small (1/6 acre or so) chunk of basement-able dirt from anyone in or around Springfield on all of the applicable groups and e-lists I am a member of shortly (and craigslist!), but that is a job for another day.
Finally went to that 'other' face painter's website, and discovered that even though I have barely anything up on the web at the moment, at least my site is better than hers. Nobody in their right mind would hire an entertainer with blurry, deformed pictures, a single page, and blinking text. *gag*
I feel much better about the previously-possible competition now. *grin*
Been gathering up new ideas for designs from the web and sketching like a madwoman in order to expand the book of face painting designs.
Stay tuned for an extra-special event surprise! There are big, exciting things on the way.

Super happy you're feeling better. Good to hear that CSS isn't as hard as you first thought. What are you going to do with that dirt? Build into it, under it, on it? Cool that you have a better site than your competition.
I am planning to build both under it and into it, then put a greenhouse on top of it. Little bit of column A, some of column B, I suppose.
Then, we garden whatever dirt is left! *wink*
