    Homeward Bound

We have found a place. It has nearly all the amenities we were looking for (or will by winter), except for a lot of light and a washer-dryer hookup. It is really inexpensive, but on a street I don't really like (it's safe enough, I'm just picky), the apartment's main entry is inside a building (ick!), it is really tiny, has only one bathroom, and gets no good lighting whatsoever. In fact, the places we would want to remain most dark, the bedrooms, are the only rooms with windows. *sigh*

But it looks like it will indeed be home for the coming year. I placate myself with the pools, playground, and the coming workout room, and the fact that we are always on the go anyway, so won't be there to enjoy the ambiance of the dim & dingy too much.

Even so, the lighting and feel of the place isn't much that some nice plants and strategically-placed lamps can't fix, right? We are tentatively set to move in next Saturday. I'm hoping I can get that moved up a bit so that I can have a place of my own to return to after the next tailgate party, instead of working my tushie off moving after working my tushie off painting.

Big plus; We can afford it right now, with no assistance, before Keebler gets his first paycheck. Always a bonus to have more than one safety net, I say. *smile* We did great for only really having about a week to look for a place.

And another congratulations you and your family. It's always good to have a place besides your mom's to live. YAY!
