"Mental Health Care" And the Pseudoscience of Psychiatry

I'm not going to go into it all here, but you can go read the article.

There's even more to know than that, like the fact that most doctors have no clue what the psych meds they give out really do to the brain except that most of them effect the seretonin levels, but will give them out at random to people until the patient says something is working, but it's a good start to get you and those you love on the road to awareness.

But I do think the Dr's work for the drug companys more and more. right now I am on 7 diffrent meds for depresion.
but been told i will never be off them its just going to be apart of my life.

I've totally stopped taking my medications, when - after going to various doctors for various reasons - none of them could agree what is "wrong" with me! It made me wonder. I'm self-treating with diet, exercise, vitamins, and herbs and other natural substances now and doing just fine.

Alas Allen can't do the same. If he goes off his meds he has massive seizures.

I encourage people to research their (alleged) disorders and how to treat them naturally - unless like Allen they're so severe that they NEED a doctor.

Often depression is just a temporay event and then medications make it a permament one. They end up giving you more medication just to cover up the side effects of the first.
