    Day of Mass Resistance

Thanks to my friend Rambleman for bringing this to my attention.

"October 5 - Day of Mass Resistance
On October 5, people everywhere will walk out of school, take off work, and come to the downtowns & townsquares and set out from there, going through the streets and calling on many more to join us - making a powerful statement: "NO! THIS REGIME DOES NOT REPRESENT US! AND WE WILL DRIVE IT OUT!"

    Springfield, MO
    Park Central Square
We shall stand together in solidarity. Let us tell everyone that we are FED UP with the current situation and the danger those in charge have placed us in with their constant incompetency. Bring signs, drums, songs to sing, and the undying love of freedom in your heart. Most importantly, bring yourself and stand against the wrongs being perpetrated in our names!"

Was anyone actually organizing this in Spfd MO? Did not see anything up like last year? What was the attendence? Had stopped by the Radish and they were again closed.

Here on their website is the listing for the Springfield Event. It looks like someone else went to the site looking for an event here in town and decided to host it themselves. I say good for them! I hope to see you there! *smile*

The Radish is having a lack of volunteers and funds as of late, so they aren't open as often as they'd like to be. Donations of time and funds are greatly appreciated.
