A Silly "Get to Know You" Thingie

My friend http://ramblemans.blogspot.com/ posted this silliness to his blog and said I might be one of the first to respond. So of course, I had to respond. *sigh*

1. Elaborate on your default icon.

My Yahoo Icon is a pic I painted of myself several years ago when I was wearing my first set of dreads. It started out as a photo from a really bad quality digital camera and just evolved once I got it into Paint Shop Pro. It was also my first PSP painting.

2. What's your current relationship status?

Domestic Partnership, daughter, mother, aunt, friend, granddaughter, teacher... I have lots of different relationships.

3. Ever have a near-death experience?

Maybe? Does getting a message from the universal consiousness that ends up saving you from any harm right before a serious car accident count?

4. Name an obvious quality you have.

I'm a storyteller.

Nope.

No clue, I don't even do these types of things usually, much less pass them on, but since Rambleman posted it... *grin*

10. Have you ever vandalized someone's private property?

No. Technically city property is public property, but you can still get a ticket for vandalism for sidewalk chalking on a public sidewalk if the officer is in a mood...

11. Have you ever been in a fight?

Yeah. They attacked me and I blacked out & kicked their tush. It was a darned long time ago though, when I was in high school.

12. Have you ever sung in front of a large audience?

Yep. Karaoke is fun. I don't like it nearly as much as my mom and Ladybug do though.

13. What's the first thing you notice about the OPPOSITE sex?

Their smile.

14. What do you usually order from Starbucks?

I don't. <--- Me neither, though every time I pass one, I can't help but think of tall brains. *giggle* Go Foamy! 15. Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose? There was only that once, and that was to blatantly prove a point when I was 14. 16. Say something totally random about yourself. Ooki Midori No Kairu Des. Gwah! 17. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity? Yep, Janeane Garofalo Even when I was bald, people said it. Though I think it was the attitude, coloration, and glasses I used to wear more than anything else.

18. Do you wear a watch? What kind?

Not right now, it got lost somewhere, somehow. I prefer Timex Indiglo with all the features. Otherwise I don't know the time or the date! Plus, it's less than $30. That's pretty good for a nearly forever watch that I only ever have to replace the band on (before I loose them 5 years later)

19. Do you have anything pierced?

Yep, my nose, tounge, and ears (ears several times each)

20. Do you have any tattoos?

Yep, two, and each one tells a tale.

21. Do you like pain?

It's not my thing, but I'll put up with it if I gottsta.

22. Do you like to shop?

I love window shopping. It gives me a TON of great ideas on stuff I can make myself and how I can go about doing it. :D

23. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?

Take out pizza

24. What was the last thing you paid for with a credit card?

Gas for the car (I only have one credit card, and it's a prepaid. The other thing that is like one is my debit card. Does this answer even count?) Should I maybe have said no? *smirk*

25. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?

The new mommy to a couple of our baby boy ratties. She was lost, so I had to wander out to the alley to find her (and the rest of her lovely family).

26. What is on your desktop background?

*minimizes programs to check* This machine has a close up of the moon, the laptop has basic blue, and the Xandros machine has a photo of a Loatian Rock Rat on the prominent desktop right now. Littlebit's machine hasn't been on for so long that I can't remember what it's background is, or even if it has one.

27. What is the background on your cell phone?

No cell phones in this house.

28. Do you like redheads?

I have a redheaded bunny... Well, he's got white fur too, but the cutest orange eyelashes!

29. Do you know any twins?

Not anymore. I did when I was a kid though. Rhyming names, the whole works! *twitch* Some parents are weird!

30. Do you have any weird relatives?

All of them. <--- I'd have to say that too. *laugh*

31. What was the last movie you watched?

March of the Penguins

32. What was the last book you read?

The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley because I couldn't find anything else after I finished the most recent Wheel of Time book by Robert Jordan. It was suprisingly good. Young adult books generally are pretty decent now days though, it's a good trend. Right now I'm reading Gregor and the Marks of Secret by Suzanne Collins aloud to the family. It's the last of a great series. Heck, I'm not even sure she's done writing them. :D
