    Angstitude: I'm SO Despised

Yep. Ladybug 'hates' us all again. Seems that being forced to do the dishes, live a free and joyous life doing practically everything she'd ever want to do, and getting her way 90% of the time just isn't enough for her.

Nope, we don't care, she hates us, Keeb isn't her dad, Littlebit is not her sister, and blah, blah, blah...

All while screaming at the top of her lungs about how making her do her chore (yes, singular) is somehow a form of abuse.

After we talked her down, (for the third time this week), she got to work and did what she'd been told, plus some, and the rest of the day went pretty well for us all, and we ended up with a nice trip to the library. Se didn't get to go to bells class though, as a consequence of her callous and hateful behavior.

I think it's just the mood swings, but I worry about how these tirades effect poor Littlebit, who is quite sensitive to begin with and starts bawling whenever Ladybug flips her lid.

Do you know how hard it is to be nurturing, sweet, and calm to one child rocking in your lap while being stern and deadly serious with the other?

I'm already pooped, and (Not)Con is this Friday, which we still haven't even begun to prepare for.

Yikers, sorry about your DD doing the freak-out for having to do chore :-( Don't know what to say, other than I think you're probably right about it just being mood swings doing to changing chemical balances in her body. That's my guess anyway. *hugs*

My 4 year-old DD does similar things, all the while I'm trying to keep 18 month-old son from being affected by the screaming. My DH asks when she'll stop doing it, I laugh and say "when she's 25".
