The other day, we went to a Christian bookstore, braving shelves overflowing with Bibles and inspirational romance novels (!), and were rewarded with a goodly selection of ancient textbooks containing theorem, definitions, mathematics, language arts, a modern spelling workbook, and even a more modern book for Ladybug about how to teach preschool (which I'm sure she'll find useful for starting her own babysitting business.). All for less than $30! *grin* One of the members of our homeschool group mentioned the sale to us, and since we were in that area of town, we decided to stop in. Truly blessed are we to count her among those who hand out tips where we can see them.
Upon arriving home however, we encountered a difficulty of near-epic proportions. Overflowing bookshelves. How ever are we going to fit these proud few onto shelves that already flaunt glaring indecencies like books stacked sideways on top of the standing books, lying on and flaying the binding? After all the work to diminish the pile recently, we are no closer to the solution.
Yet another joy of homeschooling: Book hoarding.

I must say, "Hello. My name is Dawn and I'm a bookaholic." I can sooooooooo relate to the overstuffed shelves and the book hoarding issue. I CANNOT get rid of books and I CANNOT stop myself from wanting to get new ones. But, I've been very good about not buying books as of late because I do not have the money for them. However, my mother, who is a member of some discount book club, keeps buying them for the boys, thus adding to my stuffed shelves issue. Anybody else have a bookshelf in every single room in their house, including the bathroom? :o>

Nothing wrong with old books, some even get better with age.
